What is whare tapa wha?
Whare tapa wha is the four walls of hauora. Hauora is your wellbeing and the four walls are Taha tinana which is physical, Taha wairua which is Spiritual,Taha whanau is social and taha Hinengaro is Mental and emotional.

Wonder film notes.

2 mins-Building suspense as we still haven't seen the boys face.
We dont know whats wrong with him hint but its bad-Hospital scene,  helmet,tags,school convo,Auggies dialogue in the voice over.
Quotes:Dad/Nate It's like leading a lamb to its slaughter.

instro -Close up,Spaceman jumps into the shot,slow-motion give us the feeling we are in space.

- Intro symbol of the astronaut helmet, covers his face, represents the barrier August puts between himself and the world.

-Music- starts quiet,slow but the tempo and dynamics increase to build energy in the scene. We hear a radio of ground control talking to Astronaut 

-Next is a tracking shot as we move away from the figure that is now a boy in a helmet jumping on the bed.

-Close-Up shows us Auggies reality or view of the world but as we pull back we see the real world.

-Star wars a symbol of Auggie wanting to treat him normally - a safe place in the star wars universe there are lots of weird looking people so no one stares at him

Music- Happy/upbeat ,Monster mash,fast tempo, lots of energy.
-When he hears jack saying if I looked like him id kill myself-Music tempo get slow,quiet dynamics to make us focus use of diegetic sound-kids laughter.
Symbols-Halloween mask-physical.barrier between others and auggie 
-Star wars character Darth sidious used by jullien to make fun of auggie.

significant-We see Auggie lose faith in the idea of friendship-If Jack can be that mean behind his back how can he trust others.
Links to the Theme-popularity and acceptance we see this through jack as he says what he knows Julien wants to hear so he doesn't want to become the person that gets picked on.

Jacks fight scene-
-Starts a eye level -mid shot, make us feel a part of the convo.
-Sounds are diegetic
-Low angle shot as boys hit the ground, this make seem more dangerous. moves to a close up of the struggle.
-Dutch tilt and low angle make Jack look more aggressive and violent.
-Music-minor(sad),quiet dynamic- creates focus and intense,slow tempo.
-Shot in slow-mo so we see the event more clearly.
Significant-Shows the theme of popularity/acceptance.Jack has learnt from his mistake and is standing up for his friend. 

The nature Reserve Fight scene:1.29-
-During the fight shots used to make Auggie and friends-more powerful and bullies weak and vulnerable.
-Music has a fast tempo to build intensity.

significant-Auggie has grown as a character,he is now willing to stand up for himself.
-Friendship- Auggie finally feels excepted when the other boys don't have to hide behind a mask anymore.

Athletics

Long jump.
1.Run up is 21 steps.
2.Take off with be from the second marker.
3.Land with be measured from the back foot.
4.Land with both feet together.
5.If you are over the second marker when you jump it is a fowl jump.


High Jump Fosbury Flop
1. Land with your arms and your feet facing up and land on your back.
2.When you take off it should be off one foot.
3.Before you jump you have to spin so your back is facing towards the mat.

Costumes: To show what type of character they are.
Hairstyles:To also show what type of characters they are.
Make up: To change someone's look for a movie.
Colour: To set a toon in a scene.
Lighting: To make something stand out.
Props: Objects that are used for films.
Setting: Where the movie is placed.
Dialogue:To reveal something about a character in a movie.
Sound Effects: used to show what the characters are feeling and what's going on around them.
Music:This can also show what the characters are feeling.
Silence: Mostly used to show a scary or serious moment in a movie.
Symbols: To show whats also happening around the characters.
Special FX:Something that you add into a movie that cant be natural.

Pe Shot put

Today in Pe we practised shot put because in this first term were going to be learning and improving our skills for athletics activities  
And today we learnt 5 tips to help us improve.

1.Put the shot put in your palm and wrap your three middle fingers around the shot put.
2. Hold the shot put on the side of your neck.
3. Lift your elbow up until its at the same height as your neck
4.Now you need to push as hard as you can but make sure you don't throw it because your throw wont be recorded.

Discus

Today in Pe we learnt some skills/techniques on how to throw a discus properly and far.

1:Im going to share my ideas to my group when i work with others.
