When we have a reliever.

Today with our reliever I read for fifteen minutes then I got on to a iPad and logged into my account I took a while to sign into but I got into it.I did one comment on a gilberthorpe student and showed mr White and he said it was really positive so I posted that then I went on to another Gilberthorpe students blog then I had just started writing a comment but then we ran out of time.

When we have guests in our class room I will listen to them and to what I know I should be doing.

Next time I will stay focused on my blogging instead of talking to my friends and I will complete the task givin to me.

Drama activities

Today during drama we had to find a buddy and make up a action and a word or a sentence to say something like kids eat healthy that's what my group said. My group was Tai Matangi and obviously myself. When we sat down then stood up and when we were standing we said eat healthy kids then when we had said that three times in a row , Tai stood and said kid then Matangi said eat then I stood and said healthy and then we walked off the stage and that was our part that we did.

Salt and water experiment.

The Plan.

Task 1; Read the question carefully and write the answer to these questions.

  1. What do we need to find out? We need to find out how much salt we need to use to make the water freeze.
  2. How will we find it out?we will do a couple of experiments during the night to find this out.
  3. How will we record what we find?We will get four cups fill one with just water fill one with half a teaspoon then fill one with one teaspoon then fill the last one with two teaspoons and then let them sit in the freezer over night then check in the morning what happened
  4. What equipment do we need for the experiment? We will need water four cups salt and a freezer.
  5. How long will it take?It will take one night.

The Procedure

Task 2: What are the steps that you will take to make the experiment?

List them in 6 steps.

Step 1;Get four cups.
Step 2:fill the first cup with just water then fill the next one with half a teaspoon fill the third one with one teaspoon and finally fill the last one with two teaspoons of salt.
Step 3:Now put them in the fridge.
Step 4:Leave them over night to settle
Step 5:grab them out of the freezer and measure what happened
Step 6:

The Process

Task 3: Draw on a piece of A4 paper the 6 steps that you will use to test the amount of salt in water before freezing. When we are making drawings in science  it needs to be labelled clearly, kept tidy and named. Once you have completed the drawing it must be photographed and uploaded to your blog.

In your drawing you will use:
  1. Beakers
  2. Water
  3. Measuring spoons or cups
  4. Salt

Dirty water experiment.

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass.

Examples are:

  1.  Tea bags
  2. Coffee plunger/coffee filter
  3.  Swimming pool
  4. Kidney

Materials

1.Dirty water
2.bottle
3.sand
4.pebbles
5.filter papers
6.funnel
7.scissors
8.cups
9.coffee filter

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

Cut the bottle in half.

Step 2

Put the top half upside down into the other half of the bottle.

STEP 3

Add layers of filter paper then add your sand and pebbles.

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water.

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into to the filter in the upside down bottle.

Measurements

After my group had done all of the instructions we watched our water enter the bottom bottle. It entered really fast but did not make the water clean enough to be able to drink it.

Baking soda/Vinegar Reaction.

Baking soda /vinegar

Two weeks ago 78tz and 78bh watch our science teacher pour baking soda and vinegar into a cup and
we saw the chemical reaction and I'm going to tell you all the steps to succeed while doing this experiment.

Here are all of the equipment you'll need to do this experiment:Baking soda,Vinegar,2x cups and a measuring cup.

First you need to get a cup and place it on a stable and level place.

Then you need to measure how much baking soda you need I'd recommend two teaspoons.

Tip that baking soda in the cup.

Now you'll need to measure how much vinegar you need to make the reaction I'd recommend one tablespoons.

Then Tip that in the cup then you will hopefully see a fizzy reaction and that's how you make baking soda and vinegar react.

Commitment video.

Last week Ashton Ella Josh Tasharn and myself.Started  a video on commitment. We worked pretty good during the planning of  the video we did chat a little bit but other than that we worked pretty good.My group was successful but on the day they made the video I was absent so I didn't take part in it.
