Plastic(Make a change)

This week in social studies we have been learning about litter all around the world and how it's going to affect us in the future if we don't make a change now.

One big thing that we learned about was the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, This is a massive island full of rubbish that just floats in the middle of the ocean. We watched a video during class and it showed a lot of ways we kill sea creatures, for example, when plastic goes into the ocean, many animals mistake plastic for food, which is a problem because when they consume the plastic, the more and more they eat just builds up and the animals eventually die, as plastic takes hundreds of years to break down.

We need to stop littering because the sea animals/ocean produces 85% of the oxygen that we inhale, if we kill all the animals because we are littering that means the sea will die, then there will be no oxygen and all of us human will die.

Ways we can do to make a change are, Stop using plastic for packaging or any plastic that we use to make products, we should all start reusing things like bottles cutlery and many other things.Great Pacific Garbage Patch cleanup is underwayWhat Counts as Plastic Waste?
